People of my 2012

.

Since it's almost the end of the world , I mean year 2012 ..
A very rare occasion that only happens once,
and will never happen again .
I've decided to share with you some People, in no particular order,
who made a great impact in my life for the year 2012 .
I guess this is also another good way to look back to another great year that has passed .

Evan
Probably my only best friend and will always remain the BEST! We've been through a lot and facing trials would never be so easy if it wasn't because of him. Thank you because we've been together through ups and downs and despite busyness in law school we have remained the same excitement we always feel whenever we see each other . You will always have an impact every single year , month , day of my life !

Sahb
She became my one my closest friend in Law School and it's needless to say how she has made an impact in my Law School life by inspiring me with her laughter and tears. She made me realize how lucky I am to have my kind of personality. Thank you for always trusting me and for letting me introduce the other side of me :)

Aroc
She never fails to challenge me since I was a kid.
Expect to see her name every year. Ma , you'll probably will never ever read this so allow me to be mushy here . Ma , thank you for being the kind of mother that you are . You're not perfect and will never be . But thank you for always reminding me that being "good" is not enough . Making you proud will always be my burning desire .

Sir Benny
My instant tatay in Law School.
The word "Tatay" will be enough to explain the reason. I'll be back in law school sir so expect a chic walking around your office again ^^

Mamark
He just made me realize that not all fairy tales have happy endings and yes FAIRY TALES ARE FICTIONAL so they don't really exist. We broke up this year and it really did made a huge impact in my life! Thank you for being there when I needed you the most for not being there , too . Those were the times when I realized that I'm brave enough now to love someone more than I do to myself. You will always have a special place in my heart .

TL Andeng
She's a very understanding person and because of our misunderstanding, I learned a lot! I learned that not everyone can understand what a person's going through .. that committing mistakes will never be an excuse to be a responsible person . Thank you Ms. Andrea ! I learned a lot from you !

 Teacher July
Mare , thank you for always listening to my endless love stories ... life stories ... yes marathon STORIES :) Thank you for just listening without judging . I sincerely admire how true you are to me . Thanks for letting me see the "crazy" side of you . It's really a blessing for me when we became closer . May you touch more lives . I found an ATE in you ^^ Thank you !

 Kim
Our undying love/law stories made all the difference the way we knew each other . I know at times , most of the time , I seem to be so annoying but let those annoying moments be the things that you'll mostly remember about me . Thanks for being a crying shoulder when I had no one to cry on . You surely made an impact not only in my 2012 but in my life .

Teacher Cloud and Teacher Ivony
You two are my delight every time I go to work . Thank you for making me feel loved and blessed to have friends at work . Thank you for always cheering me up ^^

The Silent Noise Band
Thanks for 5 years of friendship . We may not see each other that often but still you did made an impact in my life specially this year . Alam nyo yan ! Thanks for serenading me whenever I feel gloomy . Hopefully , we can release a recording next year (2013) . Yes to FAME !

Pangarap lang kita... TALAGA?

Sa totoo lang ang hirap tlagang maging babae eh! Kasi kapag ikaw may gusto sa lalaki, hindi pwede yung all of a sudden bigla mo nlang sasabihin na "Uy! Crush kita, gusto mo tayo na?" *AWKWARD* di magandang tignan. Minsan mapagkakamalan ka pang b*tch o kaya napaka-easy-to-get na babae. BEEN THERE. DONE THAT. Yes to the Y-E-S! May crush ako nung 2nd year high school ako. Hndi ako nahihiyang aminin, nag-confess ako sa crush ko nun na si Rey Franz. Wala ng tago-tago pa ng pangalan. Madami naman nkakaalam eh. After all, we all have fair shares of embarrassing moments in our lives di ba? Hindi ko alam kung anong pumasok sa utak ko nun kung bakit ako dumating sa point na yun. Siguro nachallenge? Wala pa kc nagiging GF yung ungas na yun eh so, inisip ko siguro masayang maging first girlfriend nito kc mabait naman tlaga xa. Sobrang humorous at gentleman. Uulitin ko ha, hndi ko to kinakahiya pero pinagsisisihan ko.

What is 12/12/12?

Welcome random visitor. Many philosophies believe that you somehow ended up on this page for a reason. It is not known if it is the result of karma, predestination, random chance, fate, a higher power, something else, or for absolutely no reason at all.

Time, space, and doom. What does it all mean? And Day 12/12/xxbirthdays. And, no doubt, there will be a few people getting married on that date.

Late Bloomer's DotA Addiction

.

Imagine ! This year lang ako naging active sa pag-bblog habang yung iba paretiro na . hahaha !
Oh well , better late than NEVER :))

I'm now getting addicted to playing Defense of the Ancients or widely known as DotA .
I know .. I know , I'm kinda , well , super late !
But what can I do ? It's only lately when I started having interest with this addictive LAN Game .
I've tried it once when I saw my lil brother playing but I got frustrated when I found out that you have to type fast on the keyboard because some skills require fast fingering . Oh I mean , fast movements of fingers to enable some active skills .

I've been hearing bad things about how students/teenagers get addicted to DotA and even fail on their subjects because of this so I thought this is the kind of vice that I will never ever try !
I WAS WRONG .
It's not really about the game, but the gamer .
If you know your priorities then DotA or any other games will never affect your performance at school .

What is the soundtrack of your life?

.

Sorry but I feel the need to explain why I chose this song :)) This has been the soundtrack of my life since God knows when. Every line from this song speaks for me. The way I feel. The things I've been through and still going through and how I face them gracefully. Remember, no matter what we do, other people will always say something to us and oftentimes will pull us down but at the end of the day, we must realize that what matters most is how we see ourselves because only YOU know who you really are . Thank you so much !

The award for the Best Womanizer goes to you

.

The word “Casanova” evolved from an Italian womanizer who had over a hundred one night stands. Casanova was a lady killer from Venice; he would wine and dine women, charm them, make them feel beautiful and irresistible, take them to bed, and … move on to the next woman the next day.

Casanovas are also known as womanizers, lotharios, tom cats, lady killers, seducers, predators and players. Many womanizers have a “line” for picking up women; they have a whole strategy from start to finish. After you learn how to recognize a womanizer, you'll see through his facade.
The personality traits of womanizers make them easy to recognize.

Womanizers are master manipulators. Though the words “Casanova”, “tom cat”, “womanizer”, “lothario” and “seducer” may seem flirty and flattering, the behavior of lady killers is far from innocent. The sooner you learn to recognize a womanizer, the better off you'll be.

To my one true BEST FRIEND

Dear Evan, Med, Metong, Best, Whatever!

I originally wanted to write you a letter about why you’re my best friend and saturate it with all the generic reasons and adorable anecdotes, but I’m not going to do that because you already know why you’re my best friend, duh. If you didn’t, we probably wouldn’t have remained friends all these years. Four years? Five? I actually have no idea.

Of course I don’t! I have no concept of time whatsoever. If it were up to me no one’s birthday or graduation or other important event would be remembered, because that’s the type of person I am; I can’t make it anywhere on time, or even on day, and I tend to forget where I’m going to begin with. But you remember things like this, and you know exactly how long we’ve been best friends. That will be the first thing you tell me after you read this. Thank you for knowing that. Thank you for knowing all the things I don’t.

Bye boring hair ! Hello perky hair !

Goodbye to my long , brown , curly and totally damaged hair ...
I've had this long hairstyle since God knows when .. not the waves coz I just had them early this year to help me save time . You know what I mean, do you?
Instead of brushing your hair for 100th times before going to bed of combing your hair 'til the tips, you can just leave your curly hair as it is and no one will know that you haven't even touched it.

For a change, and not because I'm broken-hearted...
I decided to have my hair cut short... really short!
I've been having this thought since last month but I only had enough courage to say goodbye to my play-safe hair yesterday.

So, here you go .. Criticisms are always welcome but be cautious for the comeback ! *kidding*

Parable Of The Pencil

.

We just had a presentation about self-growth and learning a while ago during the up-training here in the company .
Our Company's HR shared a very inspiring story ...
It's actually "The Parable Of The Pencil"
So let me share my thoughts with you about the things the Pencil maker advised to the pencil

*************************************

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box. There are 5 things you need to know, he told the pencil, before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.

1. You will be able to do many things,
but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand.

Simply Jhaycee says: You really can do so many things only if you will allow yourself to be guided by God. Only God can show us which way to go so we must let Him lead the way to a happy and fulfilled life.

2. You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time,
but you'll need it to become a better pencil.

Simply Jhaycee says: You will surely encounter painful situations every now and then,
which is inevitable, but by going through those various problems, you'll become a better and stronger person.

3. You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

Simply Jhaycee says: We all make mistakes but you can make a difference if you will learn from them.
Make your mistakes a lesson to live by. Don't let those slips ruin your entire life.

4. The most important part of you will always be what's inside.

Simply Jhaycee says: What other people tell about you doesn't define you as a person.
What's inside you does.
I cannot blame other people for investing so much time and effort with their physical appearance
after all how you look actually affects how you carry yourself but always remember,
what you have outside fades but what's inside remains.
You may look beautiful... You may be smart...
But your character will always be the basis of your existence.

5. On any surface you are used on, you must leave your mark.
No matter what condition, you must continue to write.

Simply Jhaycee says: You only live once so make the most out of it!
Don't be somebody else's shadow. Just be who you are.
You may face a lot of struggles but you must keep on moving forward.
If your goal is to accomplish your purpose in life then be it!
Don't let anything stop you from achieving your dreams.

The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box
with purpose in its heart.

10 Drinking Games choices for my Birthday !

.

Since my birthday is really just around the corner, 23rd of August to be exact! I'm planning to make the celebration more fun and what could be more fun than drinking and playing at the same time, right? So, here's a list of Top 10 Drinking Games I'm thinking of having on my 21st birthday, not actually on the exact day coz it's a thursday and I have a midterm exam on Crim Law 1 so most probably, the celebration will take place on Saturday night after my midterm exam in Persons and Family Relation :)

10. Flip, Sip, or Strip!
The game is best with 3 to 5 people, but more and the game will last longer. The rules are simple. Flip a coin and while it is in the air, call heads or tails. If you guess right, pass the coin to your right. If you guess wrong, pass the coin to your left and either take one article of clothing off (anything that is a pair counts as one item) or drink a shot. One catch, you cannot do the same thing (sip or strip) more than twice in a row.
9. Quarters
Quarters can be played with any number of players. Play is best with 3-6 players. Competitors sit around a table, hard wood works best but you might need to experiment. To decide who will go first, spin the quarter. When it stops, it will be pointing at the person that starts. I use Washington’s nose or the Eagle’s beak. Once established, the game begins.

Happy Birthday to my Bestest Best Friend !

.

Friendship is not something that is written on paper, because paper can be torn.
It is neither something that can be written on a rock, for even a rock can break.
But it is written on the heart of a person, and it stays there forever.
Birthday wishes and blessings are coming your way, my friend!

My 21 wishes on my 21st Birthday

.

Turning 21 is another milestone in my life. It brings along a long way of anticipation and dreams along with motivations and inspirations to reach out for the stars. This is an age when you become more responsible with your life. I want to let this 21 wishes to remind me that every year is a journey to enjoy and another year to become a better person.

1. Strong relationship with God - I have never attended mass regularly. I just go to church whenever I feel like going. This time, I don't want it to be that way again. This time, I want to build a strong relation with God. Only Him can give me strength when I feel weak so it's the least I could do give back after all the good things he has done to me.

2. Peace of Mind - I want to avoid thinking too much. Asking "ifs" and "whys" and minding other people's problem. I observed that I've been thinking too much this past few months. Thinking about my future and regretting wrong decisions I've made in the past. Spare me stress!

My Birthday really is just around the corner. I'm very excited to have my very first birthday lunch with my co-celebrants here in our company together with the management. It's part of their incentive to treat teachers on their birthday and since we are working in a Korean company it is given that we'll be eating in a Korean restaurant which I think is not a bad idea :)) After all, I'm missing bulgogi and galbi!

How to deal with backstabbers at work

.

Let's face it: Backstabbing happens at work all the time.
Backstabbers engage in underhanded tactics that make you look bad. Their actions-- such as turning the boss against someone -- can be vindictive, deceitful, sneaky, vengeful, nasty, conniving.
Sometimes backstabbers can be passive-aggressive. For example, someone tells you he’ll do something, but he never quite gets around to it. Or a co-worker says, “Sure, I’ll let the boss know you did most of the work on that project,” and then never does.
Generally, people engage in back-stabbing behaviors to gain something for themselves and gain power over you. Perhaps they are insecure or jealous of your success. They want to be noticed and think that you need to look bad or inept in order for them to look better.
When dealing with backstabbers, it’s important to maintain your positive sense of self
and don’t turn into a backstabber yourself. Some tips:
Assess the situation carefully. Don’t overreact or react too quickly before thinking through your response. Take time to write down what the person is saying and what you actually did. For example, if the backstabber says you didn’t spend much time on a project, then document the time you did spend.
Don’t underestimate a backstabber’s power. Don’t ignore the behavior or laugh it off, and don’t offend the person more.
Try calmly confronting the backstabber about his or her passive-aggressive behavior or negative comments. This is very tricky. Practice what you are going to say and how you are going to say it. Use a style that will work with the person without escalating the situation.
This could be an approach that starts with: “I really value our working relationship. Can you help me understand ….” Perhaps letting the person know you are aware of what he is doing is enough to get him to stop. Just be prepared for denials.
You might need to calmly share evidence that he or she has engaged in these behaviors, what the impact has been and what the consequences will be if they continue. It is important to keep a calm tone and demeanor and good eye contact.
Another option would be to calmly confront the backstabber in a public forum. For example, suppose he told you he supported your idea but then trashed it in a meeting. In the public meeting, you could (calmly and coolly) say something like: “I’m surprised to hear that you are not in favor of this idea since last week you told me you supported it.” Generally, backstabbers like to look good in public.
Make sure that others in the organization, particularly those at higher levels, know about your “real” accomplishments. It is important to spend a little more time networking or having lunch with superiors or other colleagues.
If the backstabber has told you that someone in the office doesn’t want to work with you, go to that person directly. Many times, a backstabber is making things up.
Seek the counsel of your mentor (if you have one), but be careful about what you say about the backstabber. Don’t overly trash the person. This is also a good opportunity to spend a little more time networking or having lunch with superiors or other colleagues.
Continue to demonstrate high levels of work performance.
Try befriending the backstabber and those who support him. It may seem like the last thing you would want to do, but it actually helps. People are less likely to engage in tactics against you if you are friends with them.
Take the high road. Don’t let it escalate to the point where both parties are seriously hurt, and no one wins. Fostering all that anger, frustration and vindictive behavior sucks up a lot of personal energy. It can be more damaging than the initial behaviors of the backstabber. Stay positive and confident for your own well-being.

Backstabbers ... Backstabbers everywhere !

.

The wound is usually deep, wide, bleeds for a long time and is very hard to get over. I’m sure you have known a person who finds pleasure in inflicting this type of terrible pain on others. No? Sure you do! We call them backstabbers.

A backstabber is “A traitor or hypocrite, such as a co-worker or friend assumed trustworthy, but who verbally attacks when one’s back is turned.”These people may claim to be your “best friends” or a co-worker who has “got your back,” but they are really mean-spirited, gossiping liars. Backstabbers have a goal of personal gain or power and can cause real damage. Whether it is in your social circle or at work, the lies told by this type of person are damaging and often can’t be undone even if confronted and proven to be wrong.

I know that I am not the only person who has suffered from the words of a backstabber, so here are a few tips to help you avoid being in situations that can be quite unpleasant:

  • Beware of people that “seem” ingenuous and believe your gut reaction.
  • Remember there is a difference between friends and acquaintances. Especially recognize pushy people who want to get something from you all the time or have you do something for them constantly.
  • Pay attention to the things that are going on around you.
  • If you hear a rumor about yourself, immediately confront the people who are talking about you.
  • Do not tell secrets to people who are known to have “loose lips” and can not keep a confidence.
  • If someone betrays you, beware of ever trusting them again.
  • If the backstabber goes too far with the slanderous gossip at work, speak to your boss, the human resources department or the backstabber’s boss. If the person is in your personal life, consider staying away from them and don’t mingle in the same social circles.
  • Do not confront the backstabber face-to-face alone or in a secluded location.
  • Do not under estimate the power of a backstabber.
  • Since backstabbers are manipulators, be aware of how much you are doing for someone who doesn't ever reciprocate in an equally helpful way.

I have many knife scars in my back as I’m sure you do too, but I think I’m a better person because of them. Lessons learned the hard way are never forgotten, so I chalk it all up to that now. Just remember this…We can not change other people nor can we control their actions, but we can rise above them if we stay in control of our own actions.

Protect your eyelashes after wearing falsies?

.

To prevent dryness and damage, we give our tresses regular treatments. Same with your lashes. Due to the chemicals they’re exposed to, such as mascara, eyeliner, and lash glue, they too, need a breather and nourishment to keep them lush and healthy.
I actually earned my certification in lash extensions from Lash beLong™ (the same company that makes Ardell Lashes) from the U.S. Let me share some vital info that’ll give deeper insight into lash care:
MASCARA
Take waterproof mascara, for example. Waterproof mascara is to lashes as hairspray is to hair. In order to hold the curl, especially in humid temperatures like in the Philippines, waterproof formulas are more effective, but also harsher on lashes.
LASH EXTENSIONS
Lash extension is the process wherein a single false lash is glued onto a person’s individual lash. Just imagine carrying a dumbbell for a long period of time without rest. This same theory applies. Lashes can only take so much weight and tension. As a result, lashes break and fall off.
Apart from this, most lash extension technicians are not properly trained. In the U.S., lash technicians are skillfully trained and certified before they can actually practice it as a profession.
In many cases, unskilled lash technicians aren’t as patient and meticulous about gluing with a false-to-real lash ratio of 1:1. Others just glue the false lash strand onto two or onto a small clump. This strains your real lashes because they cannot grow out normally since they’re glued to the false lashes.
LASH EXTENSION GLUE
Then there are some who don’t realize that they’re gluing the false lash strand to the actual lash root or skin, which should never be the case. Lash extension glue is not the same as your regular lash glue bought at beauty stores. It’s more potent in order for the false lashes to be more long-wearing, therefore they can cause more damage if they’re not used properly.
LASH GLUE
Regular lash glue like DUO FILM, though safe to use, of course, still require us to be careful, especially when removing false lashes.
Since the skin around our eyes is very delicate and prone to the most damage like wrinkle formation, we should pull off false lashes with the least amount of force or tension. You can do this with either of the two steps:
For strip lashes (long false lash type):
1. Apply some oil-based make-up remover to weaken the lash glue, making it less uncomfortable to remove. Then hold your eyelid taut. Slowly pull off the false lashes, starting from the inner eye area going outward.
2. If you’re used to wearing false lashes, you can skip the make-up remover and carefully remove it using the steps cited above.
For flares (individual lash clumps):
1. Apply some oil-based make-up remover to weaken lash glue. Normally, just with this process alone, you should already easily make the flares come off.
2. In some cases, if flares are not pulled off with care without make-up remover, our own lashes come off, too. So best to do step 1 to be sure.
To keep our lashes from becoming dry and brittle, you can use lash serums as they’re infused with nourishing ingredients. They keep lashes strong and growing healthily.
If you don’t have those, something as simple as olive oil does the trick! Conditioning our lashes with olive oil is like giving it a much-needed treatment. Rub in a drop or two after your regular night routine so it works its magic as you sleep.

Celebrities and fans alike were united in mourning after the passing of Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr., more popularly known as the Comedy King Dolphy.

According to an earlier Yahoo! Philippines OMG! report, Dolphy passed away at the Makati Medical Center 8:34pm on Tuesday, July 10 after a bout with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

The Comedy King was 83.

Shortly after the news broke, the keywords RIP Dolphy and Home Along Da Riles were among the Twitter trending topics both in the Philippines and worldwide.

Celebrities also expressed their condolences on the death of Dolphy on the social networking site.

“Rest in peace, my beloved Tito Dolphy. I will continue to do my best to follow the beautiful example you set for all of us, even when you didn't know it. I love you from the bottom of my heart. I miss you sooooo very much already. Showbiz has again lost one of its handful of truly talented and most decent members. You left us with so few who are like you. Your leaving has just made us all realize all the more how much we love you,” Sharon Cuneta posted on her Twitter account.

“R.I.P Ninong Dolphy. Thank you for making us laugh throughout the years. You will always be in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace,” tweeted Ruffa Gutierrez. The Kapatid actress was among the first to report on Twitter that the Comedy King has passed away. After news outfits confirmed the news, Ruffa explained she was with Eric Quizon, Dolphy’s son, at that time.

“We are here now in Bataan taping for TV5's ‪#EnchantedGarden. Direk Eric Quizon is our director. He left the set 30min ago. Hence my tweet,” Ruffa explained.

She added, “I don't tweet rumors. I verify the facts first. Now may I cry and be sad now?? Thank you.”

San Juan Representative JV Ejercito tweeted, “Goodbye Dolphy... Thank you for making all of us laugh! I was hoping that the National Artist Award was given to Dolphy when he was still alive.”

Writer-directors Jun Lana and Jose Javier Reyes took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the Comedy King.

“Mang Dolphy, ikaw ang pangalawang tahanan ko noong bata pa ako. Salamat sa John en Marsha. Salamat pinasaya mo ang kabataan ko. Paalam,” Lana said.

“Have a safe trip home to the arms of our father, Mang Dolphy. Your gift of laughter we shall treasure: your greatness will be remembered,” the director tweeted.

He added, “If there was one thing Dolphy taught us in the business, it is not only his perfect sense of timing. It is the greatness in his HUMILITY.”

Fellow comedians also posted their heartfelt tweets about the icon.

“Lord we thank you for giving us THE DOLPHY who unselfishly and passionately dedicated his whole life to make this world happy. Amen,” Vice Ganda tweeted.

“Heaven became a happier place today. The angels will be laughing together with our one and only King of Comedy. Rest in peace, friend,” Edu Manzano said.

The official Yahoo! Philippines Twitter account asked followers what their favorite Dolphy movie or TV show is. Among the favorites are “Home Along Da Riles,” the movie-turned-sitcom “John En Marsha,” and “Markova: Comfort Gay.”

A number of Twitter users felt Dolphy should have been named a National Artist before his passing.

“Pambansang Alagad ng Sining, the official National Artist title, is a 100 percent, perfect fit for Dolphy. Pambansa. Alagad. Sining,” Tonyo Cruz tweeted.

“National Artist. That's what he is to generations of Filipinos,” tweeted broadcast journalist Pia Hontiveros.

“More than half a century of laughter from dDlphy, the national artist of the people. we will pray for your passage into the light. Salamat!” tweeted writer Danton Remoto.

Yahoo! Philippines gave a fitting tribute to Dolphy during the 2nd Yahoo! OMG! Awards last July 6, Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Dolphy’s remains will be brought to the Heritage Memorial Park. Among the first who arrived at Makati Medical Center to condole with the family were Makati Mayor Junjun Binay, Maricel Soriano, who worked with Dolphy in “John en Marsha” and Karylle, eldest daughter of Dolphy’s long-time partner, Zsa Zsa Padilla. – With a report by Jozza Palaganas

Today is the National No Bra Day !

Boobies are Fantastic… We all think so. And what better way to express the way we feel than to support a full day of boobie freedom??

Women are magnificent creatures, and so are their breasts. Let us spend the day unleashing boobies from their boobie zoos.

Ladies, free your breasts for 24 hours by removing those dreadful (but at times oh-so-helpful) bras. Our perkiness should not be hidden. It is time that the world see what we were blessed with. Your breasts might be colossal, adorable, miniature, full, jiggly, fancy, sensitive, glistening, bouncy, smooth, tender, still blossoming, rosy, plump, fun, silky, Jello-like, fierce, jolly, nice, naughty, cuddly… But the most used word to describe your breasts on July 9th should be FREE!

Gentlemen, you can participate too! Your job will be to support us ladies by rocking something purple. It can be a purple tie, purple boxers, purple socks, the NNBD button or t-shirt.. If it is purple or with the NNBD logo, it supports us. (Your support means quite a lot to us…)

If wearing a bra on this day is absolutely necessary, you can definitely show your support by wearing something purple.

Yay for boobies!

P.S. Ladies…. Wearing a white t-shirt on this day is not only acceptable, but encouraged!

**Breast Cancer is something you should take seriously and be checked for.**

***************************

Ladies , it's up to you . It's your own boobies freedom at risk here :))
Gentlemen , please do not take advantage of this day, okay? just sayin'
